Ads for One Community – a OnePortal Initiative

Dear Marketing Community,

Before we introduce the Ads for One Community initiative, we want to count our blessings and to remember what we should be grateful for.

We’re grateful for the people who risk their lives to keep us safe and sound. The doctors, nurses and medical workers, the police officers, firefighters and everyone who keeps our electricity, water, sanitation, sewage, and streets functioning.

We’re grateful for the people who continue to provide essential services for the public good. Everyone at the grocery stores, the delivery services, the banks, teachers, news outlets, and restaurants.

And we’re grateful for the people whose acts of kindness deepen our connections to each other. The donations of masks and gloves to healthcare workers and of food to those in need, the fostering of shelter animals, the errands for the elderly, and even the chalk art with messages of hope on sidewalks in our neighborhoods.

Lots of people have been doing their part to make sure that we get through this tough time together. Now it is our turn.

As such, we have decided to use our digital marketing technology and expertise to support the businesses and organizations that keep our communities going.

Now enter Ads for One Community.

Through it, anyone — not just advertisers — can sponsor digital advertisements for a local restaurant that’s open for business in your community.

Just let us know who you would like to sponsor and how much you would like to contribute, and OnePortal will run the advertising campaigns and target folks in the neighborhood. The goal is to let neighbors know that the restaurant is open and needs our patronage.

We are currently running ads for one of our favorite restaurants in one of our favorite neighborhoods — Canela Wine Bar & Bistro in the Castro District of San Francisco (it’s the yummy food pictured above).

Now Ads for One Community is not limited to the Bay Area. This initiative is for every community that wants to support each other as One.

For it is our connection to each other that makes our communities strong. Especially when we’re #AloneTogether.

So, let’s be that connector in our community. And remember that we’re in this together and that we truly are One Community.

If you have a local business that you would like to support in your community, please let us know. We’re happy to help.

Stay Strong,

The OnePortal Founders
